Who on this board has seen her? We live in Akron OH and we have not found any local Dr's that treat PANDAS other then Nevada Reed who doesn't take insurance and is very expensive. I would appreciate any help you can give. I called her office and they are checking into her treating PANDAS. We have gone to Akron Children's in Akron and have never had any success with Dr's there other then psychiatry giving meds. I was excited to hear of a local Dr. Thanks in advance.

Hi Michelle,

I am the one who sees Dr. McMillan. She is my son's and daughter's pediatrician. My son was her patient at the onset of PANDAS in early 2008 and the first place I turned to for help was my pediatrician. She is not a PANDAS expert. She worked with me because my son was her patient at the time of onset. She immediately referred me to a Psychiatrist and then the Psychiatrist made the possible PANDAS diagnosis and referred us to and Infectious Disease Doctor who confirmed the PANDAS diagnosis. From that point, I continued to search for help for my son and found Dr. K on this forum. My son received IVIG 5 months after onset of PANDAS with Dr. K. I now just see Dr. McMillan for sick visits, well checks and keep her completely up to date on my son's condition. I also got a referral from her for an Allergist and Immunologist because I am still trying to put all the pieces together and heal my son.

I want you to know she is NOT a PANDAS EXPERT. She worked with me because my son was her patient at the time and she worked in conjunction with other doctors whom she referred me to. I know she does not want to be known as a PANDAS expert because she is not, and she will not just give out antibiotics. I just wanted to make this clear because I am the one who originally gave out her name in the first place to one person, and now I see her name posted on this forum. In all fairness to her, her name should not be on the list and should be removed. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am happy to help you in any way I can.

I did get that word yesterday and I did remove her name from the consolidated list by state.

I read this post with interest since my kids used to see Dr. MacMillan (she no longer is at the Hudson office), we see another pediatrician who was willing to run the blood tests. My son's ASO's came back elevated, so now I am trying to find a local doctor who will treat PANDAS (Akron/Cleveland area). Did you have any luck finding a doctor?
