I cant believe this his throat hurts and hes on clindimicin why why I ask why Im taking him to the md in an hour to get a strep test This is just unbelieveable I guess Ill call Trifilietti

I don't get it.. are PANDAS kids prone to strep? I know so many people who just never get strep... but it seems that PANDAS kids get it more often than others? My non pandas dd gets it more than my pandas ds (although really I don't know.. he only shows symptoms behaviorially and with a minor throat clearing tic so maybe I just miss his strep often and he is really giving it to my dd some of the times...) but still.. I never got strep myself except one time and it was the first time my kids all got it too... I never got it again yet they keep getting it. What am I missing? Are some people just prone to it? Is it just coincidence that pandas kids get it a lot? Is it just an evil coincidence that siblings of Pandas kids seem so prone to it as well?

Went to the md no strep but mabe mono or something viral.Needless to say she knew nothing of pandas.It was kindof funny she asked why is he on clidimicin i said pandas she said acne i said pandas and she said oh oh It was funny.Any way hes sick and his throat is sore and he has a fever.Not much but Im sure it will get worse .Ill give him advil I called Dr T maybe he can up the clindimicin. Thank god its the weekend.

I can totally visualize the md saying that. I'm sure some head nodding action took place too likes he got what you were saying. Pandas, acne...yeah, they're in the same genre. I can see how she confused the two.Oh, boy.

 

What do they do for mono or diagnose it? One girl I knew was out of school for a month but then 2 years ago, a neighbor teen was back to school in a week.

It was a long night he was snifffling and blowing he has a low fever . Ive been giving him advil every 7 hours and a tyl pm around 3am .gLANDS ARE SWOLLEN Hope this goes fast ,His behavior at school wasnt great yesterday and todays not looking great Im tired Im confused Im frusterated

Yes...Kurlan/Kaplan's June 2008 pediatrics article found that their (purported) PANDAS kids got more strep than non-pandas kids.
