Or even if you are choosing to vax, what other measures are you taking to try to avoid getting sick this year (or any past year). There is talk now that vitamin D is important for immune support, etc. and I think I'm going to start my PANDAS son on vit d. I've been hesitant with supplements until I can be sure that I am choosing wisely with regard to supplement, brand, dose and combination. I want to have a phone consult with Kelly Dorfman and see what she recommends at some point in the near future.

So my questions are these:

1. Are you giving your child Vitamin D? What dosage?

2. Are you giving your child any other supplements specifically with the intention of warding off flu or other viruses? What are they and what are the doses?

I think you will really get a lot of clarification on this from the following website: www.wholisticpeds.com

Go to "medical topics", then to "preventing and treating the flu". Also, "on the first sign of illness" is very helpful.

Our DAN doctor told me to give the kids Elderberry (brand name: Sambucus by Nature's Way). Also, I give my 5 year old Vitamin D3 drops: 2000iu
