Guest Susanna
I just want to put out there, for those who may not be aware, that if you or your spouse have an FSA (flexible spending account) available through your employer in which you can participate in, payments to alternative doctors and their treatments may be elgible. It's worth checking with your employer/ HR department. Although I haven't yet started the process of alternative therapies I've seen through other threads how expensive this can get, and most health insurances don't cover the treatments. The FSA allows you to put money aside pre-tax to be used for eligible expenses. You will need to check with your particular FSA adminstrator what they deem to be eligible as each adminstrator inteprets the law a little differently. Hope this information helps someone. Chemar
That is great info Susanna and will hopefully help others here too who have this. I also wanted to point out that with many Intergrative Doctors, because they have a Conventional medical practice along with the Alternative specialization, very often the HMOs and Insurance Cos will cover the treatments they prescribe, and most often they do at least cover the doctor visits!
