I just put my son on claritin for allergies... i went to get it and decided to get the walmart generic brand... boy the brand is expensive...those using claritin are you using the generic or brand...is there a difference. Also got a hepa filter for his room.... hoping it all helps a little... thanks

I dunno but claritin makes my tics worse.

When my son took it he was on the generic as we also found the real Claritin to be expensive. The ingredients are the same and we didn't see any difference in using the generic so that is what we stuck with.

 

I see others say it makes their tics worse. Do you think it could also cause tics? My son has been off of it for sometime, but he was on it when we first noticed the tics. Just wondering if this could be the missing link.

Thanks I have been giving the generic for a few days now and seems to be helping him. I am hoping to soon take his topamax down to 25mg,,didn't want to do it until we did the claritin for a bit so if the tics start up badly I know what the cause was from
