Guest kcw
My sons doctor is now starting to tell his patients to use ambrotose, by glyconutrients, It ;s a type of sugar9nto the bad kind) that helps cells get healthy and learn to communicate with each other. Anyone ever heard of this or used it? Dr. ben Carson (the first ped. neurosurgeon to seperate conjoined twins) uses it for his patients wiht neuro problems and backs it up. You can go to www.glyconutrients.com to learn more about it. anyone used it or heard of it before??

Phyl
Our environmental doctor also recommended that we could try ambrotose for both my kids, if I wanted. My older son didn't have tourettes, but was suffering from anxiety and ocd. My younger son was the one with tics and parasites (anxiety, some ocd, sensory issues and all). We used it for almost 1 year, and while it certainly didn't hurt anyone here, it's hard to say how much it helped. I felt suspicious because of the way it is marketed (multi-level marketing) and because it was basically described as a panacea by one woman who marketed it (not our doctor). No matter what your problem was, whether it was adhd, tics, depression, yeast, low levels of glutathione or just a cold, ambrotose was supposed to help! Whatever needed to be healed, I was told, would be able to heal more easily! So, though I thought that was quite impossible, I decided to try it because I wanted to trust our doctor - though she certainly never claimed it was a panacea - she just said it could help. We gave it up because it is pretty expensive and I couldn't say for sure that it was doing much. My older son's anxiety and ocd certainly didn't improve while he was taking ambrotose (the distributers would maybe say, "give him more for longer), but my younger son's tics did greatly lessen. However, what I attribute his tic diminishing to, because of the very specific timing, was treating yeast and clostridia overgrowths he had. Did taking ambrotose during that time help? I'm not convinced. (Actually, one amazing thing did happen while my younger son was taking ambrotose: he had a hole in one of his ear drums left over from tubes. It hadn't healed in 7 years, and he had an operation to patch it the year before. However, that operation failed and he was left with a hole. While he was taking the ambrotose, he started to complain that his ear was itching terribly. Actually the itching was the hole closing up by itself, something our ENT doc hadn't expected or seen before. My son was also taking lots of vitamins and extra zinc then, so who knows what helped most?)
