Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 All Do you all use synthetic pillows or natural feather pillows? Which is better ? thanks.
Chemar Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Feather pillows are known to make allergies and asthma WORSE we only use hypoallergenic cotton/polyester fill pillows
Guest Frank_Sm1th Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 How about the TempurPedic foam pillows and mattresses? I believe they even come with special covers to keep dust mites out, but I wonder if outgassing can cause reactions? Frank
Claire Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Hmmm Frank, outgassing is a new thought to me, I hadn't thought of it good point! I never paid attention to the pillows. I have been going through the debate on 'natural cotton'--less issue with tic reactions, and synthetics--which resist dust mites more! Any thoughts on that. Oh dear, now I must worry about pillows too--thanks a lot Frank! Just kidding, I can see how it would be important, I just thought the dust mite covers solved the rest. Claire
Guest Jean Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Efgh, We too use the polyester fiber (filled) pillow. Hey, I found the tag from one of the pillows: it is a allergy relifving, dust mite barrier fabric, antimicrobial cover & filling.
