Guest Guest_efgh Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Chemar or Claire I am unable to register in braintalk since it says it rejects HOTMAIL id's. I tried sending mail some five to six times to the moderator lester@helix.mgh.harvard.edu but no response yet. Can you help me to register please? thanks.
Claire Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 efgh I have no idea/pull there--though I think Chemar may. I would suggest signing up at yahoo or lycos for a 2nd email email id, and see if that will work. They are free services also. Claire
Guest Guest_efgh Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Claire, thanks. Tried yahoo too. neither does it work.
Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 Chemar As I mentioned, I started my son on pumpkin seeds 7 per day (raw) since two days. His bowels are in general constipated. But after the start of the pumpkin seeds he is getting more frequent bowel movements and MORE LOOSE bowels compared to what it was.. Is it common? Is it a good sign ? I am in a way happy about this but wanted to ask you if you are aware of this possible effect of pumpkin seeds. thanks
efgh Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Chemar In addition to my above clarification reg. frequent bowel movements after starting pumpkin seeds, do they also help in detoxification or yeast elimination?? thanks
Chemar Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Hi efgh yes, it would not be unusual to have a slight laxative effect when taking the pumpkin seeds. it should not be like an upset tummy tho....if so, maybe reduce the amount a bit. i only know of their deworming effect, tho i feel there are many health benefits too. Have you heard back from John at Braintalk yet re registration? if not, you might try emailing one of the moderators (click on them at the top left of the page) and asking for help.
Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 hi Chemar Your pumpkin seeds tip is amazing. It really helps.. Thanks. I give it to my son raw with hulls. (7 per day). I read somewhere that we are not supposed to take it with the hulls. any idea if we can take it with the hulls too??.. here is the link which talks about that.. your advice please. http://www.curezone.org/forums/m.asp?f=336&i=130 thanks
Chemar Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Hi there when I buy the raw ones, they already have the hulls removed and are green. The toasted ones that come in packages have the hulls on....we have eaten those and have no problem. I imagine the reason the raw hulls may be avoided is that they may be harder to digest??? but must confess I dont know for sure.
Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Chemar One of the vitamins that I wanted to buy (multivit from Douglas labs) contains natural flavourings and fructose. Do you know if fructose and natural flavourings is a known offending element for tics? thanks
Chemar Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 hi efgh fructose in it's true form is fruit sugar and should not be a problem. When it is not in it's natural state..ie like with "high fructose corn syrup"....then it is not a recommended substance. "Natural" flavorings can really mean anything.....what some people call natural is sometimes quite mind boggling......I have sometimes seen things called "all natural" and then, when reading the labels find all kinds of unnatural junk in there! However, there are decent products out there that are naturally flavored with fruit and or other good stuff, so hopefully your company is one of those. If they have a phone # on the label, you could try calling and asking them what their natural flavors contain.
Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Chemar Any idea about "pectin". Most of the jam products contain that.. Chemar thanks a ton for your info on aluminium foils and non stick pans. I too use stainless steel mostly but for toasting the bread I use non stick teflon pans. How do you toast your bread ? do you get pans which are stainless steel wherein you can toast your bread??? A lay man question. If a person eats food which is old and by mistake if it has fungus in that, can he/she get candida?? My friend asked about this to me and hence I thought I check up with you.. Thanks in advance .
Guest Guest Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Also, what cutting board (for cutting vegetables, fruits etc) do you use - glass or plastic or wood?? I was using plastic cutting board and am planning to switch over.. How do you make pancakes - isn't it difficult to make them with stainless steel and that is where I feel non stick pans helps. I have never come across stainless steel pans to toast bread/pancakes etc though I regularly use good stainless steel utensils for regular cooking like pasta , etc. Any idea about "pectin". Chemar Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Hi again the fungus on food is usually penicillin type, not candida. Still nasty, but a different nasty! I toast bread in an electric toaster and use copper bottomed stainless steel pots and pans. I also have porcelain coated pans and baking sheets that are non-stick. My baking grilling etc stuff is ovenproof glass. I use a mix of butter and olive oil to coat. Wooden cutting boards are my choice and I scrub them often with hot soapy water. I NEVER cut meat or poultry on them tho....i do that on a square glass plate
Guest Guest_efgh Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Thanks Chemar But , are you able to get pancakes in stainless steel pans? I tried it but its sort of sticky unlike the non stick pans. thanks.
Chemar Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 that is where the porcelain coated stuff is useful efgh...both the pans and baking sheets dont have a sticking problem.
