patty
I came across the black elderberry syrup from our ND when one of my kids got sick. She recommends this on a maintainance dose as a prevention before the onset of illness in the fall & winter and increase dosage at the first sign of illness to speed up recovery. I just start using it, so can't tell yet. Just thought to pass this on as many of us would like to keep our kids' immune system strong. Pat I have this in my cabinet of 'stuff' and it upsets my stomach. So, please make sure you start the doses small to see if it's tolerated by the children. My ds doesn't like the taste of it so I found capsules that have the elderberry, garlic, ginger, echinacea, and mushroom in them for boosting immune support.
