crazy
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good chewable multivitamin? It needs to have a decent flavor for my kids to willingly take it. I don't like to fight over a vitamin. It seems the chewables that have great amount of vitamins taste disgusting. I don't blame them for not wanting to take it. Any input on brands, etc. would be appreciated.

myrose
I think we have used and tried EVERY multi out there. Liquid and chewable! We ended up sticking with the Rainbow light ones. They are called nutri stars. All natural and free of preservatives of course. Goodluck...they are SO many out there! Does anyone have any recommendations for a good chewable multivitamin? guy123
For what it's worth, if you can find some without iron they might taste better. Iron has a distinct smell and taste. A lot of post-workout protein bars have some iron in them and you can always tell from the smell if there's iron in them or not. It has a funky taste, too. You can also smell the iron in multi-vitamins. I take a men's multivitamin that doesn't have iron in it. Of course, I'm 27 and I'm not developing anymore and I also get enough iron from all the red meat I eat So maybe find a chewable one for kids that doesn't have iron, and then give them some liverwurst for the iron. EAMom
How old are your kids? Our 7 year old learned how to swallow pills so we don't worry about finding decent tasting chewable vitamins anymore. As we're not big red meat eaters, iron is one of the main nutrients I'm worried about. I agree, the ones with iron taste bad.

They are small, easy to swallow capsules made for kids. My son hates chewables and our dentist frowns on chewables b/c kids don't usually rinse or brush after taking their vitamins. I also have given liquid multis that I found at the local vitamin store but we travel frequently and I like to have capsules on hand if possible. Tracey111
My kids love the Target Brand Gummies. No artificials or preservatives. I actually take them every once in a while. They taste like gummy bears! They are a knock off of another one that has no artificials. They actually ask me for more.....I don't mind the sugar in it...if they don't fight me! Also, I can tell you that they spit out the puritan's pride cocoa ones. I have two full bottles b/c they refuse to eat them!!!! These work for us b/c my son takes tons of supplements over and above the multi. Oh, and my boys are 7 and 9.
