mommyof2
Hello All I recently put my son (10) on a flax seed/fish oil mixture pill and noticed he is making alot more vocal tics. It is like a loud hmmm, hard to explain but it is a bit loud...my daughter can hear him in her room after night. When I put him on the new pill it seemed to be good, but after a bit this started. I think I might take him off that one and keep him on his B complex, grape seed and natural calm like he is taking... After reading i hear that to some fish oil is a trigger... my question is does it normally happen in days or weeks when you change your kids medications. I may try just plain flax seed. Another question do you use the pills or the liquid..which is better, is there a strong taste to the flax seed. Thanks for any help...school is soon starting and I would hate to have him distracting the class and bringing attention to himself since he is starting a new school with all new kid. mary
Chemar
there are a number of posts here about fish oil increasing tics my son gets very loud vocals if he takes fishoil supplement, but he can eat fish with no problems for this reason he only takes omega 3 in flaxseed oil form and freshly ground flaxseeds on cereal salad etc, never fishoil capsules or liquid supplement omega3 is so very good for one so do try with just flax not fish and see if that improves things
