gfam Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Can someone point me to the list of foods high in phenols? I am going to get the Feingold diet, but don't have it yet & would love to see this list in the mean time. Thanks!! Donna
faith Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 gosh, I gotta run out right now but just look up the Feingold site and there is some list there somewhere. Also look up "enzymestuff", that is a site that has explained about these things too, and there is a list on that somewhere too, just click on the subjects in the left hand corner. sorry, I am late for a bbq. Faith

kim Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Donna, Did you find Dana's site? She has a pretty good page http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm Also, Houston Pharmaceuticals has an enzyme called No Fenol. Some have had success with reducing Phenol reactions with that product. We use Houston zyme Prime and Peptizyde. We have had our share of acidy stomachs with the boys too. We used TUMS before I knew any better (aluminum..we avoid as much as possible!) The enzymes seem to help a lot. Here's their site. They are plant based. http://www.houstonni.com/
