myrose
Well everyone I have missed you all so much and the board! I got a few times over the past few weeks but to just peek. We had an unexpected death in the family. Following that was a visit made to us by my brother, his wife and their triplets. My Mom and Step Dad came along as well. Its been a long few weeks to say the least! I also started working last Monday. I have not worked since I learned I was pregnant with my daughter. This was almost 7 years ago! Its just a few hours a day while my daughter attends pre-K and I still get to volunteer at her school weekly in which I enjoy. I needed something to take my mind away from all this stuff. It just never leaves! The wondering, the guessing etc. I also want to update on the intrakid..... The only other thing my daughter was taking was 1/2 a melatolin pill before bed (1.5mg) (I was and still am taking the intramax) The hardest part about the intrakid and intramax for us is how and when you take it. You are supposed to take it and not eat for about 30 minutes (this is hard on my daughter, when she wakes up, she eats right away. And the afternoon dose for her is the same....she takes it when she gets home around 2pm but at this time she is ready for a snack as well. I know its only 30 minutes and I have used different things to take her mind off from eating but it gets hard. For me...well ITS TERRIBLE. It says not to have coffee within TWO hours of taking this! I cannot do this. The first thing I need when I wake is COFFEE! And its the first thing I have when I return home in which is the time my second dose is due. I called to ask why and was explained the reason. It would be heard for me to get that all down here so I will say that they told me that the intramax would magnify and multiply the coffee. Sort of like having 6 cups of coffee instead of my two cups. I wait but only 1/2 hour and then I just have my coffee. Wanted to see how it went. The first thing I can say about intramax for both my daughter and I is that it really DOES cleanse!!!!!!! I do not want to scare you or get really graphic and gross anyone out so let me just say that I have a regular bowel movement everyday like clock work in the morning. I have done this my whole life since I can remember. After about two days or so on the intramax I still made my daily trip to the bathroom but BOY was I being emptied out! LMAO No change other than LOTS!!!! In other words I did have the runs or anything. It was the same as always but 10 times the amount. My urine was also very yellow at first and then lightened up but remained yellow. I was told that this was detoxification from both ends! My daughter experienced the same exact thing. So as far as its detox claims.....IT WORKS THERE! without a doubt. By the second week my energy was up. I in no means mean to say that I was running marathons but usually around 2:30 or so I always get tired and am constantly searching for that second wind around that time everyday. I did not get as tired while on intramax. I still felt that down but I was able to just get up and forget about it. I really do like this vitamin for myself. I ordered mine after I ordered my daughters so I started mine after she started hers. So I still have some left. After I am done with it (another week) I am going to stop taking it to see if I notice a HUGE difference. I will post more then. As far as my daughter....her tics were not effected with this. In other words there was never an increase while on intrakid. Her mood seemed better but then on some days it seemed the same. So I was puzzled by this. I was also told to give it at least a few months to see the most benefit but would see a benefit immediately if it were helping a severe deficiency of some sort. My daughter LOVES this stuff and that is another thing I was amazed at. She begs for more! We have tried so many things just to have her not even go near them because of taste or smell. She continued to have a mild leg tic that was and is only noticable when she walks. Her few vocals (if they were indeed vocal tics) stopped. As I stated already she seemed to have an overall better mood but nothing to shout about. I took her vitamin out and set it on the counter the day our company arrived. She decided to pour her capful herself while I ran out to catch the mail lady. Well......the whole bottle went over and what a mess! That was over a week ago. Since this there has been an increase or should I say an EXPLOSION of tics. Not the usual ones she has but all kinds. She is winking her eyes, nodding her head, twitching her arm and of course her foot stomp is going strong. I have never seen these kinds of tics in her. I thought at first that we did have a lot going on over the past few weeks etc. So I waited to see if things would go back to normal and she is still ticcing away today. I planned on ordering more intrakid but I have a sample of the super nu thera that I was planning on trying before getting another bottle of intrakid. I was always curious on these super nu thera's. So now here is my confusion and the reason why I have not posted an update on the intrakid. She has also been swimming everyday since we stopped the intrakid. So it could be the lack of the intrakid or the pool? I just do not know and cannot figure this out for the life of me. Our pool is salt chlorinated, not straight chlorine like most. She also has a chlorine filter in her bath and we just installed a whole house carbon filter as well. I am stumped on this new increase. If anyone can help...please due. It makes sense that stopping the intrakid brought this on some how but it does not make any sense as to why she was not ticcing like this ver before. (even before the intrakid) I may order the intrakid tonight and skip the super nu thera....what are all your opinions??? Oh, and yes she gets an epsom salts bath everynight. And I am just starting the clay baths as well. Waiting on that to arrrive. So sorry this is so LONG.....Not even sure if I covered everything....... It is though...good to be back!!!!!!!!!! I always feel better when I am typing or reading on here.
patty
myrose, Are you saying that stopping the Intrakid has brought on new & explosive tics for your daughter? Pat
CSP
Thanks for the update. I have given my son the intramax, new bottle is late in getting here, so he has not had it for 3 days, but I do have the intrakid that I give my youngest daughter I did give him that so he could have something, so that may be the reason we have not seen an increase. Oldest daughter in taking the intramax and she said her skin is looking much better. She has exzema. Her face is the least effected, and her arms are the worst. Her face is the one that looks good, the arms I can't tell yet. Please let us know what happens when you put her back on the intrakid. C.P. myrose
Yes I am saying that after we stopped the intrakid there was a HUGE increase in tics and they are all just about new ones I have never seen with her before. I am not saying it was because we stopped the intrakid....this is what I am trying to figure out. Her crappy mood is also back and especially so today! We have an appointment coming up with a new doctor, we are going to have some blood work done so it was advised that I give her nothing right now. I did not give her the kirkmans melatonin last night and today she was completely calm and only her usual tic is showing (foot stomping) I can't figure out what that would have to do with an increase either but something got to her that is for sure. Its so hard sometimes to pin point it all out......I will keep you posted as to her blood work and all, but it will be a bit by the time we get in there and get the results back etc...
