Pana C315 vs. the Intramax/kid

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I found this supplement online while researching the Intramax. Although they do not have a children's supplement I contacted Drucker labs and they said that kids take 1/2 the adult serving. They also have travel sizes in this, as well. What I'm trying to figure out here is if it's made by the same maker of the Intramax. I'm going to post a link here but if it's not allowed, please delete it for me moderators. Thanks!

http://www.amazon.com/Panacea-Liquid-Multi...d/dp/B000MRBCUS

If you'd like to look it up online, I found it as drucker labs panacea or pana c315(they had recently changed the name).

The amazon link has a good shot on the label so you can see the minerals and makeup of the supplement itself.

ilovedogs...just wanted to let you know that it sounds exactly like the one I am taking. The intramax (my daughter was taking the intrakid)

I really like the intramax so maybe for my next order I will try this being that it is cheaper. I am still not done comparing ALL the ingredients but so far it seems the same.

the intrakid has a little less in it but as you stated the adult version can be given to children. Just at 1/2 the dose.

I got some news today that stopped me from ordering the intrakid again for my daughter. So for now I am holding off. Not to alarm you, for the intrakid is probably one of the best vitamin supplements out there!!!

My daughter is having some testing done and for the meantime we have to stay away from Folic acid, choline, DMAE and Copper.

I hope if you do jump in on the supplements that you get and achieve great benefits! I did.

Hoping to also get my daughter back on soon but have to wait for now. Trying to do our best with food for now

ilovedogs, i posted this reply on another thread by mistake while multitasking, but wanted to just say I looked at the ingredients and my concern would be that it has a full spectrum of amino acids, some of which are considered to agravate tics for people with TS.

it also has some other ingredients that may or may not be tic stimulating...you may need to check on that first.

I am just real careful in over supplementing with our kids as sometimes things that may be nutritive for others still can be potential triggers for them.

anything beyond regular multivitamin/ mineral one should always check first

I know some react to the very high Bs in some supps (I think someone mentioned recently that Bonnie's Bontech have pretty high Bs and that may be why some kids dont react well to them as others do....my son is one of those that needs careful B supplementationm as he reacts to some, tho he needs others more

Thanks, Cheri for that input! Always good to know. I know that this supplement is similar to the Intramax that everyone is talking about on here so hopefully they will see your reply.

Chemar,

Help me understand. I'm a little confused on the amino acids.

Are you talking about supplementing with synthetic amino acids causing tic problems in TS?

We would need to be concerned about the amino acids in the supplenment that claims its nutrients come from plants?

And what about whole foods that have all the amino acids?

Thanks Chemar

P.S.

We have still not seen any increase in tics on the intramax, and usually my son waxes and wanes every couple of days, but he has not waxed in 2 weeks. (Just to make sure you all understand, his waning is not better then he waned before, it is the same degree of waning, just has lasted longer.)

Bonnie Grimaldi and others have documented info that some amino acids stimulate dopamine therefore may increase tics for those with TS, and so should be avoided

here is Bonnie's info on it

http://www.bonniegr.com/ts-PLUS%20Diet.htm

only SOME amino acids are beneficial to people with TS and others not

one cant totally avoid them in "whole" foods, but supplementing with extra may be a problem

Forgive me, Chemar, Bonnie's page is confusing to me?

When I asked about taking foods out of one diet high in tyramine, ie; aged foods, for fear it increased tics, you said that was for people taking medication with MAO inhibitors? So I am really confused and do not understand her page. When she talks about phenylalanine in nutrasweet I was thinking that was an amino acid change/processed into a chemical?

If my son has an impaired protein synthesis wouldn't he need the amino acids? Well that is what I thought when his dr. said he was to eat meat 3 times a day.

Any info you have to help, I thank you. This is so hard and I feel like this is an impossible path and I feel like giving up.

Hi CP

the initial reply I made was to ilovedogs on the supplement they were asking on, and was in no way related to your child. sorry for any confusion.

I was commenting because we were told people with Tourette Syndrome are generally cautioned to only take amino acids under guidance of a qualified health care professional because of their impact on the brain.

What your doctor tells you *specifically* for your child's specific deficiencies was sure not what I was replying on..I confess I cant remember what dx everyone's kids have so I tend to generalize my comments.

I also wasnt trying to comment on IntraKid, as I dont know what its ingredients are. Only on the PanaC315 linked in ilovedogs first post . I looked at the ingredients and saw a full spectrum of aminos as well as other things beyond the vitamins and minerals ...and so only posted to mention that ilovedogs should maybe find out about those extra things first before giving them to someone with TS because of the known dopaminergic action of some amino acids and the unknown possible effect of those other ingredient.

I mentioned that supplementing with some , not all, of the

amino acids may increase TS tics because when Bonnie used to post on the forums she had a good list of the ones to avoid and I am just not able to remember all of them. I thought Bonnie had a list of them on that page and honestly havent checked it for a while. I have it bookmarked...... but rather than mis name the ones I think were listed as dopaminergic, without checking, I would rather defer to someone who knows more on the specifics. perhaps contact Bonnie herself. There may also be info on www.tourettesyndrome.net on the aminos and dopamine.

sorry I dont remember all the exact info, but I am multitasking because of my husbands injury and so have been skimming in and out here.

CP, Could you please remind me, have you ever taken your son to a DAN, integrative, or alternative doc? I am considering this as my next step as I am beginning to get soooo frustrated in finding out what may be triggering things. I know that this might not be the magic answer, but I am at least hoping I can figure out something.

Chemar, Thank you

My intrest was peaked because the intramax has the amino acids too, That was the only reason I was asking.

I'm sorry about your husband I hope it is not serious.
