Still waiting for updates on the intraKid.

Was wondering if some others have tried it yet and could give updates?

I did find some info on the age, intraKid is for kids up to 12yo.

The intramax looks interesting on the toxens it helps get rid of.

Would really like an update if someone would be so kind.

Thanks C.P.

Bonnie,

I took the plunge and baught it, I gave it to my son last week. So far the only thing I can report is there has been no increase in tics. I'm not following intramax directions, for dose yet. because I want to keep him on his supplements and wean him off slowly.

I give him the intramax in the morning and skip the afternoon one so he can have his B6, B12, mag. still giving salmon oil here and there, not everyday.

I was afraid of the detoxing from the intramax, but so far he has had no die off.

So the the good news is no increase in tics. I think that is a plus in it's self. I really want a good multi, I'm not looking for a tic free miracle I just want a really good multi.

I'll keep you posted,

C.P.

C.P.,

can ;you report anything about the salmon oil? How did that go when he started it? Do you think his recent flair of blinking was around the time you started that, or no? How about as far as concentration and focus, do you think he has shown more of that, especially in schoolwork. I want to take another crack at fish oil (for that reason). Does salmon oil list a DHA/EPA content?

Thanks

Faith

Hi Faith,

Funny you ask that his eye and head tic are waning. I have not continued the taurine, (thinking that was the cause of the eye tics)but did give him the salmon oil every couple of days. I wanted to see if it was the salomn oil or taurine. As far as focus goes with him he has stayed an A/B student. He is very smart but a lazy kid when it comes to school work. Just does what is needed and nothing more.

I have to say for my 16yo dd's grades have just exploded. She has been on the fish oil every day for almost a year. She had the highest score on the English mid-term exam out of 3 soph. classes, and has a 100% in the class work. She was also told she was the only student to get a 100% on the drivers Ed exam. She will get her report card next week and she believes she has all A's and one B in Latin 3. She really feels like the fish oil has helped her. She is so happy she has been able to get good grades, work a job, do color gaurd, and History club. (oh yeah... and the boyfriend)

The salmon oil is EPA 330mg DHA 300mg. I'm going the stick with the salmon oil and do it this way for awhile, and maybe when school is out I'll go for every day. (Oh still giving him sockeye salmon 2 a week.)

I'm hoping the intramax helps with school too, as it claims to.

Just to clarify, is your daughter using another type fish oil, or the "salmon" oil? Cause my guy is exactly what you described in your son, and I'd love to get him to concentrate on his schoolwork better and stay focused (and of course the fish oil is supposed to be the best source of omega 3 to help with inflamation).

Thanks

Faith

Good question Faith,

She has been taking Garden of Life Cod Liver Oil. DHA 453 EPAmg 320mg. I chose that brand because out of all the fish oil Co. Garden of Life was the only Co. that said if there was soy in it it was so small .01%. I am switching her over to the Carlson Fish oil EPA 800mg DHA 500mg for the summer. She won't need the extra vit.D in the cod liver oil.

The intrakid/max had me interested in their claims of neuro-cognitive brain function, focus & concentration, mood regulation, short and long term memory. I'm hoping if son can't take the salmon oil that the intrakid/max would do the job too.

I feel so many parents would love to know how this product works for their child, it would be well worth the $$$ if it provides what it claims to.

Just wanted to update.

We have had some really good days this week. This morning he had no eye tics and the head tic went away earlier this week. The vocals are also way down.

Son is very excited/stressed this week and usually tics a lot during those times. Hockey has him very excited over the Caps. Working at the ballfield before and after his game has him excited. He makes his Confirmation tomorrow (stress) Full moon tomorrow and he has been real good during the moon's waxing. Pollen is still way up here.

Now for the attitude, wow... this has been wonderful this week. Nice to his sisters and very obedient to us. He is usually a good boy, but is testing the waters to manhood and giving his argument on subjects he disagrees with.

Is this from the intramax I don't know??? But I can say this is one of the best few days he has had in over 2 1/2 years. By all rights he should be waxing with all this stuff going on this week.

Just to let you all know... I am perfectly healthy.com offers the intramax for 6 travel size bottles at $36.00. So if anyone wants to try it without spending $75/$80.

Son had a very good day yesterday even though his confirmation took over 2 hours. I could see his head nod tic came back for the ceremony, but he had very few vocals all day. Took him out to dinner after, and he never had the need to release any tics he was holding back, so I can only assume he was not holding any tics. Bishop was long winded, (45 min. Homily) but when I asked my son if he was listening, he was able to tell me a lot of what the bishop had to say. I was very pleased to hear this, as religion is not a strong point for him. Even my mom was impressed.

Don't think he made a noise, blinked an eye, or nodded his head this morning before school.

Take care,

C.P.

WOW!

The only time I have ever heard of GAG was for people suffering from poor bladder health.

I'm trying to understand all the benefits to the intramax and the protien/sugar matrix. The essential sugars N-acetylgalactosamine, N-acetyglucosamine and N-acetylneuramaminic acid. I'm having a hard time understanding all this, but had a feeling this dietary supplement would be very benefical to my son's impaired protein synthesis and significantly impaired sugar and carbohydrate tolerance. My son's mineral analysis suggests an impaired immune system that may contribute to chronic or recurrent viral, bacterial or fungal infections. I'm a little confused about this as he is never sick other then a cold or stomach bug.

This has me really hopeful that the anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties to this intramax may really benefit my son. Not to mention balence him out.

If I have hit on something that you think I would benefit knowing please let me know, I'll be checking back in tomorrow.

Thanks Kim,

C.P.

CP,

I didn't mean to drop the ball on this, it's just that I looked at the intramax and my eyes went ^_^

The thing that i scanned was that darn copper. Everytime I check into a new supplement it has copper. We struggle to keep zinc levels up, so I avoid things that would be used daily that contain it.

I'll be on the lookout CP for any new info that I come across especially regarding these N-acetylgalactosamine, N-acetyglucosamine and N-acetylneuramaminic acid.

Did you see this article from the anti basi ganglia thread? If this proves to be something useful, it could be so beneficial it would seem. Is the N-acetyglucosamine contained in intramax? I just didn't have enough time to really look at it, the other day.

Previous studies suggested that glucosamine, a dietary supplement commonly taken by people with osteoarthritis, has some immunosuppressive effects. This led Michael Demetriou and colleagues at the University of California, Irvine, to investigate a similar but more potent compound called N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc)

Kim,

My son's single most important imbalence is the low sodium/potassium ratio. This shows an impaired electrical balance within the cells. As I try to understand how sodium and potassium work as a cellular element, I am really wondering if he has a cellular absorption problem. (how does this effect his blood sugar????) Have not figured that out yet.

My son is a fast mixed oxidizer, I don't know if this is caused from stress, or from some other adrenal or hormone problem. And how does all this have to do with his release of simple sugars. (yes, all three N-acetyal sugars are in the intramax.)

My son was having some dizzy spells again and this is what caused me to look into the sodium/potassium, another reason I asked the inflammation question. (He has not had a dizzy spell since he has taken the intramax.) I was hoping the was because of the electrolytes in the intramax.

(Chemar, my son is low sodium/potassium. Elevated sodium/potassium was the tissue analysis reason I guess, why he did not have an inflammatory tendency.)

His fast-mixed oxidation is reflecting some kind of burnout or impaired detoxification which could be from excessive amounts of copper, so thank you for that info. Do you think if I keep supplementing zinc the cooper amounts would not effect him?

I'm trying the intramax for the cellular effects on his body. BTW... he is still doing fine, no major tic reduction but that really is not why I want to use it. Maybe in time after he has been on it for awhile I'll see more tics go away, as his immune system (organs, cells and tissues) work together for a better balence overall.

When I study more, I'll be coming to you for help with the sympathetic branch of the nervous system, and how they function in the brain, thyroid and adrenal glands.

The intramax just has me so interested in the metabolic factors. I feel this stuff will put me at ease and help get his mineral levels balenced.

Thanks so much for your help,

C.P.
