myrose
My daughter is doing great now. She has been on intrakid for almost two weeks. I will post my feelings at the end of three weeks. Anything sooner just would not be accurate (in my opinion anyhow) I am starting to plan a remedy of what works and does not work for my daughter. I have been working on it for a bit and want to implement it after school lets out and right before she starts Kindergarden this year. I need advice on what a good enzyme would be. She is 5 (will be six in September) and only 40 pounds. I guess a digestive one. One that she can take and still take her intrkid along with it. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Chemar
I posted this on another thread today too jas but i like this one best of all the enzymes I have tried. http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=4490 I also mentioned on the other thread that enzymes seem to flare my son's Crohn's so he doesnt use them anymore
myrose
Thanks so much Chemar but she can't swallow pills. (Forgot to add that) The biggest and only thing she has been able to swallow is 1/2 of the melatolin tab. I did find a chewable enzyme paired with a probiotic in which is also chewable and best of all for children and PLANT BASED! My search maybe over. Very excited to try these along with our intrakid! The only thing I will need next would be the magnesium. Thats as far as I go with everything until we can get in to see a Dan Doc. Maybe the natural calm along with the baths would be enough. I am going to put this all into play soon.....Wish me luck! Wanted to just start with the vitamin (intrakid) next will be the digestive enzymes/probiotic/magnesium. Thats it aside from the massaging I have been doing to help with the sensory issues. She enjoys the massage! I do believe it is helping! No shower pricks last two nights! Thanks so much for all your help, guidance and advice and expereince (and everything else I forgot to add)!

Is your daughter taking 1/2 dose in am and 1/2 dose in the pm as suggested? I want to order the intrakid, but my son takes PCN 2x daily and it says not to take any meds until two hours after taking the intrakid and I'm worried about his PCN schedule since he is in school. I wondered if your daughter took the whole dose at one time and if it gave her a tummy ache or anything? Thanks!
