CALLING CHEMAR>>>>

Hello Chemar!

First of all ...God Bless you for what you have done for your son. You have one lucky little guy there! he is truly blessed.

We tried to start Bonnies Supp tonight and it was not good. Too big to swallow and too hard to disguise the taste. There is just so many to take! Eventually we are supposed to be up to 10 day and thats just for the TS-Plus.

Anyhow I am getting alot of great suggestions on how to disguise the taste and plan to try them all.

I am writing to ask you about magnesium and calcium.

I know you have alot of experience in these. If I eventually just do not win with Bonnies Supplements I was hoping to take it more slowly.

In other words I know that magnesium plays a BIG role here. (Bigger than I think most people know)

So I would like to maybe just try giving her extra magnesium to start out with. Trouble is....I know or at least think I know that there are 3 forms of it?

Can you suggest which form is best in dealing with the tic issue. (Daughter is not diagnosed at this time)

I am ordering the magnesium sulfate cream from kirkmans tonight as well.

One more thing....is it best to also give calcium with the magnesium? Not sure why I think this. Sometimes I read so much I get lost and confused in it all. Maybe for absorption?

If it helps any my daughter is 5 (will be six in September) and she is 40 pounds. Doesn't seem to be able to swallow pills and will not tolerate anything bad tasting! Thanks so much in advance for your advice/suggestions Chemar.

Sincerely,

Wendy

Hi Wendy

IMO the very best info on magnesium in its different forms is the comprehensive thread by MrsD on NT's Vitamin Forum

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread1138.html

Bonnie used to post on the old braintalk forum many years ago ( and I think she even posted here a few times too) and it was she who told us that it is always good to balance the magnesium with 2x the amount of calcium (ie 2 parts calcium to one part magnesium) I have read a lot of different info on this but that is what my son has always had.

I am a bit jello brained after a loooong work day at present so am not going to even try to post much now so hope that helps a bit
