My son is 10 years old and diagnosed with ADD, OCD and TS in April. His tics were so bad he could not stay in a classroom. I was against a lot of medications because of the side effects like TD, I tried something new called Inversine and it seemed to work a little for 2 weeks and we also tried the clonodine, he only got worse. He has now been on Abilfy for 2 months and TIC FREE , WE also give him a multi vitiman, a liquid for ADD by Buried Treasure and omega 3 oils. I saw where other children were on as much as 10mg of the Abilify; however, my son responds to 2.5 mg a day - it does not have the side effects of the other anti pysk drugs. Trying to find the time to do it all naturally was not fast enough for our situation, had to get him accepted in school and able to do his work. Now, we are trying to elimate preseratives etc., what a job....little at a time to just figure out possibilities, great site here for information!!

I'm not sure but she is Bipolar and she is apparently pyschotic. She was in a pyschiatric ward for about a year. I suppose this was the reason they are trying Seroquel on her? It's a pysch drug. Would it help to describe it? She tries to cut herself from time to time and she feels worthless, never really angry, she doesn't get rage she gets so emotionally upset and worthless feeling that she feels she should just die.

If she is diagnosed with tardive dyskinesia then as regards antipsychotics they would transfer her to Clozaril or it will advance. I have been documented as having made a full recovery on the novel antipsychotic agent in Phase II FDA study glycine, a glutamate antagonist, a new form of antipsychotic that will not cause tardive dyskinesia or diabetes. If she doesn't need an antipsychotic there's a wealth of options in the way of mood stabilizers. Lamictal is a good option. If she is diagnosed with tardive dyskinesia which I have in advanced form, I have found Zofran to be extremely helpful as well as the natural remedy rhodiola. All of these are from clinical studies and the research will be publicly available within a relatively short amount of time.
