OCD in VA
I have been researching involvement of Mycoplasma bacteria in Crohn's Disease and found this article posted on another TS forum PubMed article Hi- I am new here. I think that my son (5) has PANDAS -- he fits all the criteria and has elevated ASO and ADN titers. I thought this article was interesting. I took him to the Dr last week because I was concerned about PANDAS and he was diagnosed with Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
bmom
I am just curious if there is a test that can be done to check for Lyme disease, pneumonia, and any bacteria type stuff all in one or would you have to request each test individual? Chemar
welcome OCDinVA that is very interesting feedback! I am planning to have my son tested for mycoplasma when he next sees his D.O. as I strongly suspect this could be a link in his crohn's and sometimes bothersome OCD I know his OCD has always been more troubling to him that his TS tics, and if he infact has had mycoplasma infection, this could really be a key to understanding the progression to the Crohn's as well thanks again for posting and hope you will keep us updated on your child's condition and what has been prescribed for the myco bmom, I think they may be separate tests, but am not sure on that.
