Has anyone tried Gaba?

Does anyone have any feedback on Gaba? I introduced it about 3 days ago to my son who suffers form tics aond OCD. I don't know if it is just a coincidence but his tics have reduced drammatically. Gaba is an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter inhibitor. I would appreciate knowing if there are others out there who know something about it.
