Stomach / abdomen tic?

Itsme,

God has opened the window of healing for me. Next time, I'm jumping through it, slamming it shut than cementing the hole!!!

Btwn you and Cheri, my frown lines, lessened a little this morning :)

You know, there are all kinds of articles, that refer to gut flora being responsible for production and synthesis of B vitamins, vit K also.

If your flora is out of whack, could it be where you need to take P5P instead of vit. b as the "synthesis" part, may not be happeneing?Bontech vits contain vit B, not P5P. Just a thought

Could you tell us, how many billions pro biotics are you taking, after the antibiotic? Did your Dr. make a recommendation on that?

Kim,

It's great to laugh!! I've had this ts since age 10 and i've always found it within myself to be a weird, quirky thing, sometimes even funny. But when my kid got it last year it wasn't so funny. But i do like to try to keep a sense of humor when situations and circumstances permit.

I have been taking 3 billion probiotics since May. Interesting info about the gut you posted. I will keep it in mind, and thank you for that.

Also i didn't quite answer how my program was put together. The enviro dr. did blood, urine, stool and hair tests. Spotted the deficiencies and abnormalties and put the progranm together from there.

Also, Kim - do you ( or anyone) know if pain killers disturb or hurt the gut flora?

Thanks.

Just off the top of my head, I would think that the pain killers, may be affecting the liver, first. The liver is so important in detox. Your liver is stressed by detoxing the pain killers also. Can't back this up with links, as I just don't have the time, but if you google it, something like "painkillers liver detox dangers" you might get a picture of what i'm trying to say.

Combine liver funtion with infection and loss of good bacteria or flora, could equal trouble.

I'm thinking you may need to up pro biotics substantially, when using antibiotics.

I wish someone could post on aDr. recommended amt. after antibiotics!

I remember a post by Giselle, where one of her sons Docs laughed at the amt. she was giving him. It seems she posted a hugely high number that he recommended.

In addition to last post itsme, I have to throw a couple more things out here.

I have been warned by someone I have total faith in, that it is really important not to give "pain killers" if the boys get chicken pox. Again, the liver is really important during detoxing varicella. Also, told not to give food. Let the liver do it's thing against the virus, not work on digesting food. Chicken pox scares me, as the boys are older. Another concern is, the Dr.s are prescribing things at the onset of chicken pox, when they are not sure what it is, since the children have had a vax for it, that are contraindicated, such as steroids, antibiotic etc.

What made me think of this, was your reminder about onset at age of 10. I know the MMR used to be given around that time. Don't know how old you are, but there has been a lot of discussion about two illness occuring close to each other, triggering neuro problems.

Could I ask if you had chicken pox as a kid? Do you have any record of vaccination?

I hate to sound like a broken record here! Just one aspect of possible triggers.

I didn't have chicken pox ever. And i was told by a doctor who wrote "Feast without yeast" that to much probiotic can worsen the yeast - not sure if it's true or not. I take the probiotic from claire labs called Vital 10. Also our dr has us on some REALLY good stuff that he has been taking a long time and says he'll continue to take the rest of his life. It's a bit pricey though. Its called EM Extra and EM Mother Culture. You can check it out if you log on to mightymicrobes.com

My son takes only bontech vits, butyrate, and fish oil and glutathione. I take quite a bit more.

Thanks for the info Kim
