Intravenous Curcumin anyone?

Hi everyone -

 

We are considering intravenous curcumin for our 11 year old son. Apparently, it's a incredible help for inflammation (which for my PANS/Lyme/Coinfection plagued son is running rampant).

 

Does anyone have experience with receiving curcumin intravenously? I'm told it's about a 60 minute process and can be done once a month and makes a world of difference when it comes to inflammation.

 

Would love to hear any thought or experience with this treatment...

Uh, honestly, I wouldn't IV curcumin.

But I'm not a Dr., I just play one in real life ;-)

Seriously tho,

I would try Enhansa capsules from Lee Silsby Pharmacy/ no script needed/

website Our Kids ASD (I am not affiliated w/ them or product)

but I DO take Enhansa every single day,

altho my daughter DOES NOT because it literally flips her out

(not die off)

IMO, curcumin is either a yes or no, with no grey.

So make sure you have a yes child, slowly, slowly,

because it can hit you hard

when I go up on higher doses,

I can feel reactions.

Guess I'm saying I would recommend trying to ramp up on a high dose oral product before doing an IV of it.

Just wondering - have you ever compared Enhansa to other versions of curcumin? I buy the Meriva version by Jarrow, mostly for myself, for random things - I think it's the cheapest Meriva available. It hasn't done much for my child but doesn't seem to hurt either, and it's been so long since I've given it consistently, I wonder if that's another thing I might throw into the pot... (I might even have some Enhansa around here somewhere, though they're the tiny capsules. We did the powder version before he was swallowing pills, and never got anywhere aside from making messes, though again dose is a question.)

Hello- I can only speak for me I guess, but I have the A1298/C 677

the genetic deal where I am 'suppose' to not tolerate yet my dd11 doesn't have that and can't tolerate, so unfortunately it seems trial $ but I do believe in quality and trust Lee Silsby

saying all that!

I say for certain for me taking Enhansa reduces inflammation noticably- in my gut/intestines, etc. it's powerful, seems to battle yeast w/ a sword.

Thank you for the input! I opted *not* to do the IV curcumin after receiving your response. It seems too much of a trial now to submit my son to it. Who knows how he would respond. So, thank you!

 

My son does take a daily curcumin supplement and two other anti-inflammatories: Cyflacalm and InflamAway. I can't really tell if they are helping...but maybe if I would remove them I'd see that they are helping a lot. I'm too scared to remove them for fear that his tics will blow up again...so for now I'm sticking with them. I will ask about Enhansa at my son's next LLMD appt. Thank you for your insights on the curcumin IV!!!
