OCD

Hi,

I am new in this forum. My son has had sudden exacerbation of his OCd a month ago. I read about PANDAS and took him in to visit his pediatricia. He also had an active Impetigo on his face, after insisting to check his throat and titers. it all came positive. He has been on antibiotics omnicef for 10 days and he got a lot calmer and we also saw an infectious disease specialist and she prescribed another dose for 2 weeks prophylaxis of another kind of antibiotics He is allergic to Penecellin. Next week he will be over with his antibiotic and I am very afraid of not knowing what will hapen. His OCD is back to usual ( mild washing hands) but after the strep he has also started having alot of leg movement (kind of restless leg syndrome) also during his strep he would wake up alot and sometimes with nightmare. The nightmares are gone but he has myoclonus (nocturnaltwitch of muscle). I hold him in my arms when he is deep sleep and snoring but his body twitches. When I explained these to my pediatrician she looked at me and I could read her mind diagnosing him with ADD. He has had a great year in Kinder always attentive and cooperative with teachers. On our last meeting they said he is ready for 1st grade, but now he seems a differnet kid!!! Should we stay on antibiotics or not. What should I ask the ID doc? Does anybody knows a good doctor in Austin, Tx who has experience with PANDAS?
