Hopeny
I am considering using this lab but the triple draw is cost and logistically prohibitive. I wondered if others have used and if you have had a positive on a single draw with a negative test via conventional labs?
beeskneesmommy
I have spoken with Dr. Breitshwerdt, who was a primary part in the development of Galaxy. he is actually a vet, but is very involved in research for Bart in humans as well. This is, from what I understand, a very reputable lab for Bart testing.
philamom
Agree with beesknees. Only drawback is price, triple draw, and I'm pretty sure you need to be off antibiotics. I believe Tpotter received a positive result through a tissue sample.
sf_mom
LLMD uses it regularly. My understanding is that Bartonella moves in and out of blood stream every three days and why there is a triple draw. We have not done the test.
philamom
If my dd didn't have positive results through other testing, had symptoms, and had been off abx for few weeks, I would probably order it. There was a guy who posted not too long ago about the test (red?). You may want to search to see if he did the single or triple draw.
