Need Opened Minded G.I. Doctor in Northern NJ

Recommended Posts

My girl is currently on vancomycen and we hope it helps but I would also like to have a CT scan done to see if there is anything else going on. She did have an xray but I think a CT scan would show more, right? She has been in the ER several times with rectal prolapse from pushing and I want to cover all bases. Thanks

I'm sorry no one replied. I think the lack of response is because there really is no one out there. My son's GI is strictly mainstream. And she's never done extensive testing on my son other than bloodwork. If I talk to her about diets etc she looks at me like I have two heads. So I would never even discuss yeast issues, gut/immune connection etc. I've basically given her up and treat him in conjunction with a holistic NP in Hackettstown NJ.

Here is a great pedi GI I used to see in Boston. He since moved to NY and started a new department. He was very compassionate and open minded in dealing with my child when he had undiagnosed and severe GI problems. He did every testing, imaging and treatment available. He never gave up on us when many many hospitals and docs did.

Look up Dr. Tim Buie or Dr. Arthur Krigsmen both cuting edge docs willing to help the chronically ill.

We are currently collecting stool samples for Genova to see if my son has parasites or what is going on with him. He has major gut issues contributing to his panda flares. Also suffers from chronic impetigo very hard to eradicate.

Good luck.

I second this recommendation. Both EXCELLENT GI specialists! We see Tim Buie, who is in the Boston area, but I also really like Arthur Krigsman, who Is in NY.

I'll send you another pm. I don't have much experience with parasite treatment. I was just commenting that there has been info mentioned before on the subject - you may want to try the search forum.

Philamom - I don't know where to look for your message since they changed things. Also...are you recommending checking into parasites because of my child's chronic constiptiion?
