Chelation Update-Cadmium

Hi Faith,

Considering that I now know that my doctor considers pulls in the high greens to low yellows to be good pulls, I would have to say that we have seen quite a bit of mercury and lead pulled since the begining of chelation. I only test every 3 months and I didn't do the fecal metals test for about the whole first year of chelation so we've missed some heavy metal pulls via test results.

I do feel that it's been a slow process, but that's purposely why I chose the transdermal option. I believe it's a gentler method over oral and iv. I can't say that this has a impact on reduction of tics. I've seen times where my tics have increased, and I believe those times have been related to chelation/major pulls or metals moving around. However, I'm still very very toxic and it's too early to say whether it will reduce my tics. I haven't even worked on removing the mercury from my brain yet via ALA.

I have heard of Metal-Free. One of the Autism rescue angels that I talked to had one of her children on metal-free with good results. Other than that I haven't heard many others using it. I hear a lot about NDF Plus & now a new one called Zeolites. I totally agree slow and gentle is best.

Faith,

I also wanted to add in that this chelation process may be slower for me because this mercury, etc. have been in my body a lot longer than a child's. I not only had 4 silver fillings, but my mom gave birth to me with a silver filling in almost every tooth of hers. On top of that I was pretty much an addict of Tylenol as a child for years. Tylenol lowers glutathione levels.

Hi Everyone,

It's time for another chelation update. I've been chelating for almost two years now. I'm using transdermal DMPS using a three days on and four days off dosing schedule of eight drops every four hours.

I'm considering trying to rotate the transdermal dmps on one weekend and oral dmsa (if tolerated) the next, repeat .... to see what results I get. We've seen quite a bit of lead come out.

Comp. Metabolic Panel:

My BUN/Creatinine Ratio was high this time at 29. The reference range was 8-27. My doctor said that at this time he'd just like to keep a close watch on it. He said that I could have been somewhat dehydrated at the time of the test or the metals could be messing with my kidneys. He said that once we get the metals out, that should go back down into the reference range.

Urine Toxic Metals Results:

We saw some arsenic, cadmium, lead, nickel, thallium, tin, and tungsten this time.

Fecal Metals Results:

We saw a tiny amount of mercury. We also saw some antimony, arsenic, lead, thallium, and uranium. We saw quite a lot of beryllium, bismuth, cadmium, copper, nickel, and tunsten.

I had the Great Plains Laboratory Organic Acid Profile and Doctor's Data Comprehensive Stool Analysis retested. We also did a women's hormonal health assessment through Genova Diagnostics (Formerly known as Great Smokies).

Organic Acid Profile:

My doctor said that this looked much better than the test results from a year ago.

I showed low ascorbic acid (vitamin c) and high kynurenic & pantothenic under vitamin indicators.

I also had elevated yeast/fungal metabolites (specifically the arabinose).

I also have elevated HVA under the neurotransmitters.

Comprehensive Stool Analysis:

My doctor said in some ways these results look better than a year ago, but in other ways it looks worse than a year ago. My bifidobacter (beneficial flora) was only 1+ and my doctor wants it to be 4+. A year ago it was 0.

I have imbalances that include gamma strep & Klebsiella oxytoca. My doctor said if we can get the probiotics up these should go away.

I only had moderate yeast this year. Last year I had many yeast.

My slgA level increased to 459. 40-204 is the reference range.

Women's Hormonal Health Assessment:

My doctor interpreted this as best as he could, but doesn't know a lot about this test.

My DHEA-S was within the reference range, but the level was low normal. On my adrenal test about a year ago, I had really high DHEA-S so he said it could be that my stress level dropped (which it did drop quite a bit with a job change) or that my adrenals are getting tired. He suggested that we keep an eye on that.

I had high Estradiol (E2) and 2-Hydroxyestrone (2-OHE1) levels.

Carolyn,

It is good to hear from you and thx for the update. I was just thinking about you the other day.

So how are you feeling? Since you have been on chelation for the last 2 year, how is your sensory issues, food tolerance and tics compare from a year ago today?

BTW, can you explain to me the pain & tic relation if you have experienced it. Lately, my son has been complaining about the right side of his neck hurts and it causes him to turn his head from left to right ( most of the time it is slow as if he is stretching his neck). After the movement, it does not alleviate the neck pain. I am wondering if my son, who is 7 mistaken the difference between "pain" & "urge". However, when i applied magnesium cream to the neck pain area, it seems to alleviate the pain and also eliminate the left to right head movement. I don't want to ask my son too many questions and have him focus on it, because everytime i ask him about it, he does the movement more.

Thx!

Patty

I keep referencing this tic my son is currently experiencing. It is a hiccup type movement but when my son does it he complains that his "pee pee" hurts. It never occured to me that maybe it is an urge rather than pain. It's all too bizzare to me and I can't figure out what he is trying to tell me.

Patty,

I'm feeling pretty good right now, but had been exhausted from the large amount of credit hours I had been taking. However, I graduated with an A.A. degree a week ago and am just finishing up my first two summer classes at a University. Sensory issues are amazingly better than before I started chelation. They seem to get better and then they get worse, repeat ... I tend to think that's because the metals I'm releasing also go up and down. At this point, I'm having trouble taking my vitamins. I gagged on selenium a few weeks back, and now it's been hard to get myself taking the vitamins. I'll get there soon, but I just need to get back into a routine of taking them morning and night even if it consists of leaving the selenium out for a while. It's been a tough last six weeks because of my schedule. It's hard to say on the food tolerance because I really haven't been successful for a long period of time in avoiding all of the allergens. I can eat small amounts of the foods that I'm allergic to without large reactions, but there's also an overboard point of too much. Tics haven't really changed from a year ago.

If I'm about ready to get a head jerking tic, I can feel it before. I can feel it several days before. My upper back, shoulders, and neck usually become sore and tight. I haven't had this tic occur for a few years atleast. Maybe the reason that your son's doing the neck tic isn't to relieve the pain, but because of the neck pain. What I mean is that maybe his neck, etc. is out of balance which causes the pain and therefore tics happen not because of the pain, but because of the off-balance issue. I personally think that's what causes my head tics if I get one because going in for cupping or massage on a regular basis seems to prevents that tic all together. If I don't get regular sessions and end up getting that tic, after massage or cupping the tic goes away.

Maybe the urge to tic for your son is painful. I don't know because I don't really feel the urge to tic. It just happens.

Maybe the magnesium cream relieves the pain and muscle tightness which in return eliminates the tic movement. I haven't ever used the magnesium cream, but a sibling uses it for cramps and calls it the miracle cream.

When is your son having this neck pain? Is it right after acupuncture/chiropractic/cranial sacral therapy? in between sessions? some other time?

Carolyn

CFinEP-I don't know about the pain your son is having before the hiccup type movement. Carolyn

carolyn,

Thx for your response. My son is only 7, and when i ask him more about it, he does the tic more, so i avoid mentioning all together unless he complains about the pain.

This is the first time his neck hurts which causes the left to right head movement. When he had the sudden head nodding tic, it did give him a headache and neck pain and the acunpuncture & chiropractic & NAET seemed to helped with the pain. That was about 10 months ago.

The head tic now is very mild & infrequent and sometimes we don't see it for days or weeks. And out of the blue he would tell me his neck hurts, then there is the left to right head movement. So i am sure the pain is NOT the result of the tic, but the pain causes the tic. I guess i am wondering if the sensation of "urge to tic" can be mistaken as "pain". After my son does his tic, he still complains about the pain, so i am thinking the "pain" is NOT the "urge"??!!!

I think you may be right that the pain may be the cause of some kind of imbalance. We have been getting chirop treatments for about a year with various chiropractors, and this is the first time he complains about neck pain. So i don't think the pain is caused by the chirop treatments. Since my son's chirop also does CS, i will ask him about using CS for the neck pain.

Thx for the info. BTW, congratulation to your AA!

I don't have many new things to update about chelation therapy. However, I decided to post all of my urine toxic metals and fecal metals test results up to the present online. Also, there's talk about switching to oral DMSA because my doctor doesn't see enough lead and mercury coming out. I'm going to see if I can't get two urine toxic metals done this time(one using Transdermal DMPS & the other using oral DMSA to see the difference).

Below is the link for my test results.
