patty
I had my first consultation with a pediatric chiropractor & acupuncturist in an intergrated office setting. The office is gear toward children with TV, video and playroom. I cried, when the chiropractor told me she would try to bond with my son before starting treatment and is willing to treat my son while he watches TV if she has to. I couldn't believe my ears. Due to my son's tic, we have been seeing many different alternative doctors as well as conventional doctors, and he has developed some fear from doctors due all the poking and prying. Our current acupunctrist is good, in a sense that she helped him with his tics, but is lacking in the sensitivity area. I find that especially true for those without children are less patient with them. They see them as whining little kids. I am looking forward to our first appt. Guest
Patty, That's great that you found a ped chiro & acupuncturist willing to do this. I hope your first appt. goes well and your son also does well. It's so important that your son feels comfortable with and bonds with the acupuncturist. I hope this will eventually happen. Good luck with your appt. Please let us know how it goes. Carolyn
