SDK
Like many children with tics, my son is very sensitive to milk. Even tiny (hidden) amounts will make him start ticcing, visit the bathroom 20 times a day, and act in an unpleasant way. I was wondering if anybody has tried goats milk/products, and what effect this had on their children. Also, has anybody tried A2 milk (rich in A2 casein, and mimimal B casein)? patty
How about trying, rice, soy or almond milk. I love rice milk, it is delicious. Patty

I like soy milk as a milk alternative, but it's one of the more processed foods out there, and I really try to stick to a whole foods as-close-to-the-source diet as possible. I have read that goat's milk is much easier for most humans to digest than cow's milk. I believe I read that in The Maker's Diet book, which did seem to have sound whole foods advice. I have been considering trying it in our family, too. The idea of cow's milk curdling in our stomachs just doesn't appeal to us, though I am not tic-sensitive to small amounts of it. If you try it, please post your results with it! And let me know how it tastes...If I find it somewhere & try it, I will post my results, too. -Julie
ad_ccl
My kids all drink goats milk. My PANDAS son - was sensitive to dairy and another son sensitive to soy - so we went with goats milk for ease. They all seem to like it ( I don't). I do still try to limit to 1-2 cups a day. Usually they have it as hot chocolate in the morning and sometimes with bedtime snack.
