Ticcing every 15 seconds

Recommended Posts

Ds, started this thing where he sounds like a pigeon cooing. He mixes that in with talking to himself all the time. It is literally about to drive me crazy. His sister, 16, just got over some sort of respiratory illness (croup like cough for three weeks). She has turned into the "evil one", able to go to school and keep it together, but soooo hateful to me, brother, and father. Everything that comes out of my mouth, she gets ticked off about. Is that the Bartonella, OCD, or typical teenager? I literally told her "Good morning" when I came in kitchen and she said to me, "You already said that." Insert hateful tone. Rash has flared horribly in last week.

Now dear son sounds like a pigeon. He cannot stop unless his mouth is busy talking about something else. I gave him advil and no help there.

I have appt with Dr T for DS for next Tues., but no appt for DD. I would not take both of them at the same time at this point, anyway. Their object of OCD obsession seems to be each other. Anyone else experience this?

Questions, What can I do for DS, 13, and vocal ticcing? What can I do for DD, 16, to improve mood?

The summer of 2009 my house sounded like a bird sanctuary...I thought I would lose my flippin mind. That summer my DS9 (at the time) was hooting like an owl and peeping like a bird repetitively without realizing it. It seemed nonstop. Only time it stopped was when he slept. It was like a women in labor using the Lamaze method. Hee, Hee, Hoo, hoo. I started him on a Inositol/Choline combo...the tics stopped in a couple weeks....never to return again to that level. I have since stopped the Inositol but often wonder if I should have kept him on it. He still has some vocal tics but not LIKE the summer of 2009. It was 400 mg of each in combo capsule...think I started out a one a day for a week then twice a day. I kept him on it for several months. I read (at the time) when I was doing lots of research that you shouldn't give Inositol without Choline. One augments the other, synergistic effect, however, I have been unable to find that same research again. Despite looking for it

Feel your pain, been there, done that. 16 year old moody teenage girls...sorry, got nothing for ya  Only have boys! My 15.5 yo is neuro typical and not too bad.
