Vitamin Shoppe Vitamins?

Recommended Posts

Do you happen to know if Vitamin Shoppe vitamins are decent vitamins? Also the Natures way brand??? I am trying to buy all of my vitamins at the vitamin shoppe, which is convenient for my family members to purchase if I ever need them to take over caring for my child. I am trying to make it easy for them. Thanks for your advice. I am especially interested in the vitamin D3.

Currently, we buy all of our supplements -- vitamins, probiotics, omega's, etc. -- at the Vitamin Shoppe. I have not noticed any lack of/reduction of effectiveness in buying their brand or any other brands that they carry.

Generally, for NAC, melatonin, B6, milk thistle, I'm buying their brand (Vitamin Shoppe).

For D3, E, quercitin, zinc, I'm buying SolaRay, which is also available there.

Probiotics, I pick up Renew Life and Jarrow, also available there.

Finally, for olive leaf, I'm buying the one on the shelf that has the highest oleuprien level, and Vitamin Shoppe always seems to have a decent variety at various price ranges to chose from.

So, for me, it's pretty much one-stop shopping! :P

You know, I think that their computers keep a record of your shopping (which products, etc.), so you might ask if they have the ability to create a list -- item and brand -- once you've settled on what you like. Then that list could be on hand for your relatives as well as for you. They also have a pretty user-friendly on-line shop, and I'm sure you can keep a record of your purchases there.

Good luck!

Thanks again for your help Nancy!!!

I checked vitamin shoppe and they said they don't sell Solaray Vitamin D3. Didn't see it on their website either. Can you PM me????

Oops! You're right, Lilly! Sorry about that. I thought they were SolaRay, but now that you've followed up, I checked again. They're actually Carlson Solar D Gems. We use the 2,000 IU one, but I've seen them in various strengths, from 1,000 IU up to 5,000 IU.

Sorry for the original misleading info!

FYI -- All of the Jarrow brand vitamins/supplements that we have had 'muscle-tested', so far, tested well, which means no pesticides/chemicals etc. that would be harmful to the body. Also, Vitamin Shoppe 'Sun Chlorella' tested well back when we were using it several months ago.

Best wishes on continued healing thru this next new year!
