My sister is trying to help someone whose suspects PANDAS, they are just getting started and at this stage do not really want to travel. I know I have seen warnings about CHOP where they were thinking about going. Please PM me or post. Thank you!

They say Elia is heading to DuPont in DE. Also, I believe dr. nicholaides (sp?) is in south Jersey....cherry hill area. She' helped Beth Maloney's son, Sammy. You could email her and ask for her contact.

Just spoke w/Dr. Elia last week. She is hoping to get started at Dupont in DE by the end of this month or in Jan. Moving across state lines has held things up w/red tape due to the licensing process. Keep calling Dupont every week or so. She is trying to get there as fast as she can. I don't know that you will find help at CHOP now that she is gone. Dr. Triffiletti is in NJ and will do phone consults. Dr. Bouboulis is in CT, 2.5 hours away from Philly. Dr. Latimer is in MD, 2.5 hours from Philly right of the WA beltline. We see both of these docs along w/ Dr. Elia. Tell your frineds to make the appt.s now, as the wait could be a couple of months. They can always cancel. Tell your frinds that it is worth the trip, only a day drive, and that PANDAS can get much worse if untreated.

i use the PA Scott smith. usually you will find alot of these dr have children with like isssues.

Knowledgable, open minded, friendly.

 

i thought i heard rumors of either a lyme or pandas dr in newton or horsham PA

Thanks everyone, I will pass these along. we see Dr. B. but at this stage they do not want/do not realize they may need to travel. It seems like there are some good qualified practicioners close by.
