Puberty - Does it solve this?

Pandakid11, is your ds currently on abx? My dd12 had a lot of nausea for several months before we got a diagnosis. She also had anorexic tendencies but part of her OCD was that she had to eat, so she choked it down. During a 90 day treatment of abx is when I noticed the nausea got better. For 3 months now she has been on both a homeopathic anti-strep med and an herbal antibiotic. A stool test one month ago showed she still has strep (2 kinds) plus staph in her gut. She still sometimes has what she calls the "hunger pains", but not that awful nausea. Now we need to get blood titers, then she will go back on abx. Sorry to hear your son is so miserable. This is an absolute nightmare. He now has converted his anxiety into walking problems and school doesn't want him there with walking issues. He also is somatizing pain. His unconscious seems out of control and I don't know what to do to get it to function properly. His fight or flight is on all the time. He never missed a day of school until this hit last November. His ASO has remained high. Doctors are split. Some think it is PANDAS and then the ones that don't know what PANDAS is, think it is all conversion disorder.

 

It is a mess. He feels like garbage. Don't know what to do. He is so nauseated.

 

pain makes me think "lyme" more than "PANDAS" (not that there couldn't be both) but I think any PANDAS kids with fatigue/joint pain/pain should also be evaluated for Lyme

have you tried pepcid?
