SSS
Yes, in the very beginning, first couple I did, I could only stay in 5 minutes, had to get out and had to lay down.

NancyD
The first few times I got so fatigued I had to lay down and sleep for a few hours, although this was early on (right after starting abx for Lyme). PowPow
always the skeptic (sorry) could someone explain how a bath could cause a reaction (positive or negative) to an infection that is not topical?

[/quote ] **Sure, I'll try. This is JMO tho. Positive- magnesium is know to calm the muscles, relieve cramps, perhaps even induce calmness. A warm as you can get it/ on the hot side Epsom salt bath, sat in for 15-20 minutes in at least navel high level of water, causes me to sweat. A lot. Comes pouring off my head. Sweating is toxins being released through the skin. I also do a dry brush before an Epsom salt bath, gets the lymph system going, opens pours. And for the kicker: Lyme spirochetes and their nasty friends are said to hate the heat (body temp rising.) Edited August 26, 2012 by S & S
philamom
Yes, my dd has herxed from epsom salt baths. I think it's due to the magnesium. She reacts to everything (a lot less now) - vitamins, supps, allergy meds, exc. She doesn't take many baths these days, but I didn't notice a herx the last time she took an epsom soak, so I guess thats good.
