Is anyone taking these two products daily? I realize they need to be seperated but can they be used daily? Or do you avoid Sach boulardi altogether while using an antifungal? thx

I take Sach B and Diflucan (which I believe is similar to Nystatin...or at least presscribed for hte same purpose...yeast). My doc said they should be separated by a few hours. This is also true of Sach B and Grapefruit Seed Extract, Oil of ORegano and/or Caprylic Acid.

I just received the Metametrix kit for complete stool analysis. Should I wait until Dd finishes the Nystain, which was prescribed for a month (with possible refill) or go forward with it?

DSs 8&5 both take nystatin and s. boulardi daily. I separate them as far apart as possible. They also take diflucan occassionally. I look at it like taking probiotics while you're on antibiotics. Taking beneficial yeast is really important when you're on yeast meds (IMO).

Hi philamom,

I did Metamatrix kit for my son while he was on Nystatin, the only thing it interfered with was a fungal/yeast reading. it said on the report that no values could be obtained due to inability to get a reading.

I would wait if you can. Nystatin leaves the body pretty fast as it's only in the gut, where Diflucan is systemic. This info was obtained via an autism Dr's web site.
