IVIG dose

For those of you who have had IVIG, what was the dose/kg administered.

The first 2 for my daughter were low dose- <0.5g/kg. She now gets 1.5g/kg every 3 weeks. But, she has an immune deficiency.

We did 2g/kg over a two day period. Then repeated again in 2 months.

We also did 2 gm/kg over two days. My son also has immune deficiency. This will be repeated every eight weeks.

Usual high dose for pandas is 1.5g/kg. The NIMH clinical trial is using 2g/kg. Maybe some Drs are starting to use the 2g now also since the trial is using that??

well, this makes me nervous....as ours is 1 gm per kilogram and we have pandas/syndehams chorea.

We started out with 1.5 g per kilo and then upped to 2.0 g per kilo with Dr. B, however more recently we have been doing 1 g per kilo every 3 weeks with another doctor and are getting it at home. Dr. B says that may work and build up immune system and keep infections at bay. 1 g isn't really considered low dose.

well it was 2 g/kg over 2 days--

so it was 1 g/kg a day-

55 kg = 55 g Gammunex on Tuesday and 55 g Gammunes on Tuesday-

 

one daughter with tics and anorexia/OCD

 

the other with chorea and ocd

1.5mg/kg over two days. He's had one treatment a yr ago.

Just did 2gm/kg of Privigen this week for the 1st time. My son is also Immuno, on SCIG weekly
