Yes, it happened to me last year on Doxy. I am sorry to say this, but for me, the burn took a long time to go away, like 6 weeks.

Stopping Doxy won't help the burn, but it has got to be hard to be on in the summer.

Maybe you can switch to Amoxicillin and Biaxin? Not sure where you are at.

I took a short walk on Doxy, fried my nose. Looked like Bozo the clown. And then it peeled for 2 weeks. Lovely.

My hands (knuckles) got the sun while driving. Not fun. Sorry :-(

That was me all last summer! I got burned through the windows of my car too. I had to wear a long sleeve on my left arm and put the rest of the shirt on my left leg while driving. Hat, umbrella and long sleeves all summer to stay out of the sun. Be careful! I took it regardless. It helped me a lot but i was very happy to go off it too.

I get very tanned through my car window (luckily didn't get burned, but that's because I put tons of sunscreen on every morning (even now that I'm no longer on doxy.) But, I got way darker than I got in the past. You might want to ask the doc about minocycline. It's similar to doxy, but the sun is not as much an issue. DH had to do that.
