I have just received the supplements I ordered from Holland. I am going to see our DAN doctor tomorrow but, nevertheless, appreciating your knowledge and experience, I have a few questions to ask.

First of all, by mistake, I ordered Essential GSH (oral liposomal glutahion)

http://www.essentialgsh.com/GSH_home.asp?id=2 instead of transdermal one. I was really very upset as this was the most expensive item. I was misguided by the word "liposomal" (I must have been thinking about liposomes in face creams) and, apart from that, it didn't say "oral" on the product list.

There wouldn't be a problem if Staś did not have a candida problem. From what I heard from our DAN doctor and many mothers on the Polish autism forum, oral glutathione "feeds" candida. What do you think? We have completed one month fluconazole (anitifungal medicine) course, still on Candida Clear. I have ordered Monolaurin from Cenaverde (Holland) and it arrived today. I want to have it. Can this oral glutathion be still an issue?

Another question is about Monolaurin. It is Ecological Formulas brand, 300 mg. Chemar, shall we use it the way you do (1 week on/3 weeks off) in order to control yeast. And is the recommeded one capuse a day (300 mg) enough? What about Candida Clear? Shall we use it together? (and if we do shall we worry about oral glutathione "feeding" candida  )

Because I saw magnesium taurate on the Cenaverde product list, I have ordered it, too. You have always been saying that because our kids need both magnesium and taurine it is a very good form of magnesium. I was suprised to see the content of the magnesium taurate that arrived today. It is Cenaverde's own brand. Two capsules (reccomended dose) contain: magnesium (tauraat - must be Dutch "taurate)) - 124 mg; vit B6 (pyr.-5-fosf) - 26 mg, Taurine (magn. tauraat) 1436 mg.

Two questions about it: is such an enormous amount of taurine OK? (especially that magnesium content is not really satisfying). Maybe such a big amount is needed to "hold" this not very impressive 124 mg of magnesium?

Am I to understand that Vit B6 is here in fact in a form of P5P (it looks like)? We have to supplement it, too. But we need 50 mg. If we take four tablets instead of those recommended two, we would have bigger magnesium dose and enough P5P. But what about almost 3000 mg of taurine???!!!

Our doctor will probably tell us what to do, but I would like to be "armed" with some knowledge before I see her.

Thank you in advance,

Irena

One more thing: this oral glutathione contains sodium benzoate as a preservative. Does it make the product unacceptable for our kids? We avoid preservatives and I am very strict on this. But this thing was so expensive and Staś does need glutahion. Is it very bad?

You're so lucky with such an easy and comparetively inexpensive access to all the best supplements. All the three supplements mentioned above are not available in Poland.

Hi Irena

first off, it is CAPRYLATE (caprylic acid) that we use monthly for one week on and three offas a basic yeast control, NOT Monolaurin

Monolaurin is an EXCELLENT antimicrobial (fights bacteria, viruses and fungi) and I always keep it in stock. It does help to fight yeast too, and as far as I know can be used with Candida Clear

The magnesium taurate products that I know of (the one from BonTech and the one from Cardiovascular research) are compounded magnesium taurate and so give only the compunded mag taurate amount in each capsule. I am therefore surprised by the high taurine in yours as being compounded it should not be additionally added???

Bonnie's mag taurate has 50mg magnesium taurate per capsule and the dose varies depending on whether people are also on her TS Plus

Cardiovasular research has 125mg of the COMPOUNDED magnesium taurate in each capsule

I cant help re the glutathion as it is not a supp that we have used
