Hello

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 44 year old male and have had Tourette's and OCD since I was seven years old. I have gone on to have a good life, with a wife and a daughter, a nice home and a career. But my symptoms have never dissipated, and it is something I live with every day of my life. I'm not coming here to seek help, quite the opposite. I have come through this life challenge in pretty good shape, and have learned to deal with it in my own way. I've always felt an obligation to help out others where I can with my own experiences. I recently helped a friend of a friend with Tourette's. So I'll stop by here from time to time and offer my own personal anecdotes. Maybe they'll be helpful to someone.

Hi Dobian and welcome

It is always encouraging to hear from people who have successfully overcome the challenges of TS and who can share their experiences and advice.

we look forward to hearing more from you

Thanks, I will be around. Feel free to ask a question if you think of something. I guess there aren't many people who live with this who like to talk about it. That's the way I used to be, but not any longer. I have helped with my experiences one woman with Tourette's, and another whose son has a high level autism related to Fragile-X syndrome.
