bulldog24 Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I am pretty worn out with all that is going on. Severe pandas kid and a mild one. Add in a teething, non sleeping 7 month old, and my lyme, cfs, and pain and well you get the idea. I cant get out of my own way today. Baby wont stop crying or sleep unless I hold her every minute. My house is trashed. I even forgot my odd augmentin this am, which I never do. I feel like crying, drinking or just running away. Hubby works 6 days so most days I have no choice but to keep on trucking. Today I dont want to play.
Iowadawn Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Can I come over?? **sigh** Oh, how I can relate right now. I am not a "huggie" person, but for you a ((Hug)) and a prayer.I wish I could click my heels and make this all go away for you and all of us. Stay strong. Dawn
DeterminedMomVA Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Me too. Son has been doing better overall, but had a 2-hour-long long violent rage last night in response to resistance to baseball practice and the imposition of new computer rules. It left DH with a black eye and two bite wounds to his arms. After it ended, DS had a 'normal evening' and even got homework done with little anxiety and enjoyed a family walk around the neighborhood, but DH and I are both feeling depressed and worn down, and know we still have a long road ahead of us. Our neighbors and friends have no idea of the ###### that we're living through. We'll all find a way to stay strong together. Hang in there.
bulldog24 Posted March 21, 2012 Author Report Posted March 21, 2012 Thanks guys. I have kept myself together for 13 months. I dont know how. Today is just my breaking point. Nothing crazy happening today, just dont wanna! Luckily I have a lyme meeting tonight so I can escape for a few minutes. I am starting to wonder (yet again) why so much happens to me and my family? It just is non stop, one thing after another. I am so grumpy I took some ativan because I am on the verge of a meltdown.
lmkmip67 Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Oh yeah, more days that not, lately, I want to escape. I am hoping spring helps when we can get outdoors more. But it has been such a mild winter anyway. I just get tired of all of it some days. Not whining, just letting you know you are not alone. we all have those days. ((hugs))
oivay Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I know exactly what you mean. I remember seeing a flier for a Pandas support group when we were in the midst of horrendous problems, and thinking "How in the world can a parent of a Pandas child possibly find the time to go to a Pandas support group?" although I thought that truly no one need a support group more!
fightingmom Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Add me to the list too. Within 6 minutes of getting home from school today my son was already Swearing at me and calling me "stupid b*". I was five-ten minutes late getting home from class due to traffic. Was yelled at about that and it continued on from there. If he had not lost his house key for third time this would not be an issue but I've changed my locks twice already an now have to add that of my list of things to do before surgery tomorrow at 7am. He uses a side door, our other two entrances I don't give him a key to anymore. He's demanding I take the key off my keyring and give it to him to use the front door tomorrow. Um...no! So, the name calling begins, then refusal to take dog put, then 6,403 phone calls when I leave to get away and run to store. I can't take it anymore. Edited March 21, 2012 by fightingmom
colleendonny Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Hi Melissa, Hang in there! Right now my DD has been doing well, but I still have times where I want to run away. I definitely know how you feel. I thought DS was doing well? I can relate with the baby too. Currently DD 8 months has taken residency on my nipple . I feel like a human binky! And then I have DS2, who also may be mild PANDAS, according to Dr. B. It is a rough road! I hope you enjoyed getting out tonight at the meeting. I just started to work again, and I look forward to my 2 nights out per week working. It's like my break! Hope to see you at the next meeting.
colleendonny Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 PS, I contacted Dr. R and we see him next week. Thanks for the recommendation.
bulldog24 Posted March 21, 2012 Author Report Posted March 21, 2012 So sorry guys. This has been a rough day all around. I wish i could hug you all. To add to fun day...vet just left a message my dogs throat cultured + strep!!!!! Are you freaking kidding me? I dont think thats too common. Do not stand next to me, you are bound to get hit by lightning as it hits me for the 50th time......
fightingmom Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Yeah, the dog strep thing was icing on your crappy tasting cake for sure.
Fixit Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Hug coming across the net.. Obviously you know i can relate. And sometimes it is nice to put out in the univierse that you feel like pooh and that you don't want to be a grown up anymore. i thougth my middle ds was heading down the hill too with the 3rd round abx not taking hold...looks like someone who posted to my prior message about my oldest ds, gave me the idea to treat with advil for my middle guy and we (knock, knock, knock on wood) are coming out of it for him. So 2 of them back under control. My main panda kid, ds12, is my greatest challenge so far. he also just said he has another tooth loose, and remember he has 2 molars that dont' want to seem to come all the way out.... Plus all the other stuff i've been mentioning. You, like all the parents here, are doing the best you can, and sometimes better than the docs. it is hard, but try to find some time to not think about all of this, it will not make you any less of a good parent, and will rejuvinate you so you can fight some more. I know that is easier said than done!!!!!
socalmom Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 I am sorry you are having such a rough time. I can relate, as I have had in the short span of 3 months my son (5) dx'd with PANS, lyme and now me with lyme and my house has mold and I have to get out ASAP. I wish I knew where to go to a lyme meeting, I don't even think they exist where i live? Xanex is my friend right now. -Carma
bulldog24 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Report Posted March 23, 2012 If you go to lymenet.org or maybe the lyme page here, lyme support groups are listed by state. The LDA mightvalso have a list, but the support group I co founded prob wouldnt be on the lda site. Also every state has a lyme yahoo group. They are pretty helpful. Let me know if you need help finding a group. Unfortunatey I have been around the block with lyme
