trggirl
Hi Chemar, first I want to thank you for all the questions you have answered. You are a wealth of information and it is appreciated. I would like to ask you a few questions about B1 and B2. At some point when you wrote about the treatments your son has used, you mentioned that you loosely based your supplements on Bonnie's vitamins. Bonnie used extra B3 and I have noticed that you do not. Was there a reason for that? Did your son have a bad reaction or did you just feel like it wasn't needed??? Also on B1, you wrote that your son received some extra of this vitamin. I was wondering why? Did he show low in testing?
Chemar
Hi we did not add extra B3(niacin) as my son is reactive to it...he is fine taking it in his multi but not extra, even the "no-flush" form he went on a missions trip to S America and we learned that taking extra B1 prevents mosquito bites,,,they are repelled by it. So he started taking it and we noticed an immediate reduction in tics.
trggirl
Wow, that's really interesting on the B1. Any idea why it helped?
Chemar
I don't know the actual reason why...only that it seems to have that effect for my son My guess would be that it somehow acts on dopamine reduction or uptake etc...but that is pure speculation on my part.
