KaraM Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Tufts Navigator PPO. It took a while, but they reimbressed for Lyme and coinfections. Even those that were run multiple times on different dates.
colleendonny Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 I hope bcbs covers some of ours!
philamom Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 We receive 70% reimbursement for all our Igenex testing (used to be 80%), which we run approx every 3-4 months. I haven't received anything back for the new culture test, Advanced Labs - re-submitted it last week, so we'll see.
LNN Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Coleen - FYI - Igenex will give you a 15% discount of each test if you test more than one family member at the same time. You need to tell them so they flag it as such. Cigna reimbursed us about 60-70%? can't quite recall...
debbie5846 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Philamom, We also did the new advanced labs culture test. Did you receive something from them for the insurance company, like Igenex does? If not what did you send to the insurance company? Thanks for your help, I am still learning how to send all of this in to the insurance. Debbie
philamom Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Hi Debbie. I called them up and asked if they could send me a receipt to submit to insurance - received it a few days later.
debbie5846 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Philamom, THANKS for the information, I will be calling tomorrow. Debbie
laure Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 I remember reading that it is important to use the code for unspecified immune deficiency...someone on here had the code. NOT lyme disease. BCBS reimbursed 80% of ours as well.

For some reason my local doctor, the one who ordered the test, wasn't receiving the hard copies, so I called the lab and asked if they would send a copy to our LLMD. He then made us a color copy. The Borrelia Culture shows 3 Spirochetes.
colleendonny Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 We got fully reimbursed. I was pretty surprised
