Guest
Hi Everyone, As I continue to chelate, I keep adding in new foods/drinks and almond milk was my most recent one. Most of them I've never been allergy tested for since I would never try the food/drink. I'm going to have the new foods/drinks tested when I have my next allergy testing. Is almond milk something I have to be careful with? Is it something a lot are sensitive to? Carolyn
Chemar
Hi Carolyn some people do have allergy to almonds the nut allergies are interesting as it is usually to a specific nut rather than to all nuts. Although they belong to the family of Rosaceae fruits (e.g. apple, peach, and apricot), almonds are most often classified as tree nuts. first signs of nut intolerance is often a buildup of gas, while some people get rash, itching, swelling of the lips or mouth and difficulty breathing.etc. Severe allergies tend to be more with peanuts but still, as with anything that may be a potential allergen, take it very slowly until you are sure you can tolerate it almonds are very healthy (and tasty too:) ) so I hope you dont react negatively to it. Andy
Almond milk often is made with rice or soy. Make sure you have no delayed food allergies to both of those if you have not already.
Guest
Thanks for the info. I checked and it does have soy. I'm allergic to soy. Do some almond milks have only rice in it and not soy? Carolyn
