My daughter is taking the liquid form of zithro daily. Do I need to disguard after 10 days and get a refill. Does it go bad or start to lose potency

Yes, you need to discard is what we have been told. We only have them mix 10 days worth at a time. If you have questions, the pharmacy should be able to help.

When my ds was on the liquid zithromax daily the pharmacist gave it to me the months supply broken down into the amount for 10 days at a time in powder form and told me the amount of distilled water to add to it. I would talk to the pharmacist if you need it for a prolonged period of time.

We get 3 bottles of unmixed omnicef and three bottles with the correct amt of water. I mix it at home every 10 days. We did the same when she was taking azith too.

I get 3 bottles at a time that equal 27 days worth (doc writes it for 30 but this is the way it breaks down). I mix it myself when I run out so as not to waste and to keep the potency at optimum levels. On the 1oth day, the potency begins its degradation. This med, along with Augmentin, daily, has restored my beautiful son to me. As of mid August, we ceased being a family in crisis after so, so long. My son continues to looke better and better as time goes on. Thank God for Azith.
