i can only hope that the general public reading and hearing these clips has the same reaction to hearing the "conversion disorder -- mass hysteria" -- it falls on my ears like an absolute joke! it's like an automatic response from my brain that goes, "what?! really?! seriously?!, in 2012?! that's your best suggestion?!"

 

i think we need to add courses in common sense to medical school!!

Whatever the cause, this is spotlighting a problem that is rampant in the medical community- sending patients to psychiatry whenever you can't figure out what is wrong with them.

The written introduction to the second video link says that there are now more than 2 dozen cases of this "mysterious illness".

Does anybody really think that's possible? Even a doctor has to question an outbreak of "conversion disorder".

I hadn't seen that one. I really have to commend all these girls for going public with their stories. It is really brave of them!

Chelsey says she became ill on Oct. 31st.

 

I wish I had a better handle on the onset from kids in LeRoy only. Does anyone else know right off hand when any of the others started showing symptoms in Leroy? Weren't a few prior to school even starting?

I guess this would have been revealed if a common thread, but it seems like many of these girls were cheerleaders.

Some of the girls were cheerleaders, some were friends, others weren't. . I think the big common thread is that they all went to the same school ( except for the girls from that other town).
