UnitedHealthcare - IVIG listed as PROVEN for PANDAS

Just sharing this in case it is useful to someone...I wasn't aware and stumbled upon this. I guess PANDAS has been listed as a covered condition for IVIG for some time. Soooo frustrated that my company is switching away from UH before we can get IVIG. Aaarrrgghhh!

Anyone with tips/advice on getting IVIG covered with Humana or AnthemBC?

Don't worry overly much about switching from UHC. I think the information you're referencing UHC now claims is "out of date," and they no longer cover IVIG for "PANDAS." At least they don't in my state. In fact, they covered next to nothing with respect to PANDAS care.

 

No experience with the other companies you mention, sorry. Hopefully someone else will chime in here. Good luck!
