seafood-like smelling breath

i know there have been discussions about smelling strep and bad breath. anyone know about odd smelling breath like a slight seafood smell?

Do you use any kind of fish oil in the diet? That turned us away from it, it was so bad.

Could be yeast. My husband had horrible breath until he started taking an antifungal for yeast overgrowth.

Is the person taking any amino acid blend or branched chain amino acid mix?

This could cause a fishy smell. If yes, stop the product.

My original GP taught me to smell strep on my child's breath. It is a sweet/sour smell with a sort of twang to it. VERY hard to explain I'm afraid. But yes, one of the signs a good doc will count is the strange smell of the breath.
