Guest pandas16 Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 Kind of awkard to post but my most recent obsession seems to be fixing leaky gut and I found a website and emailed the CEO. The brand is called Zetpil. Pricy but they mention specifically on the package leaky gut and those suffering from autoimmune disease would benefit. They are in the form of a suppository but they bypass the leaky gut so your body can get nutrients which is ideally what you need to heal. Again the brand is ZETPIL is you want to google. Just figured Id share. I read gut pychology by Natasha Mcbride and she essentially says taking mulitvitamins orally is pointless because your body can absorb the nutrients and it leads to more inflammation.
Ebony Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Just wondered Pandas16, how are you getting on with TSO? I have leaky gut, but my understanding was that this could be caused by autoimmune. I am hoping that TSO will suppress the autoimmune reaction in my gut, and therefore leaky gut would heal. Have you found any improvements in your food allergies using TSO? Would be grateful to hear your feedback. Many thanks.
Stephanie2 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 I don't know, I have been juicing for the boys and for myself lately. They say that by juicing you are releasing the nutrients/enzymes into the most absorbable form. I have no proof, but I did see a detox reaction with my younger son's skin when I started, so he must be getting something from it. I, personally, get a major energy/mood boost when I drink the juice...
Stephanie2 Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 Oh, I also wanted to mention that the Specific Carbohydrate Diet has a long history of healing leaky gut. I have not tried it, but many within the autism community find amazing benefits from it. Also, the latest is Camel Milk. We just started it here for the purpose of healing my 3yo's not only leaky gut, but inflammatory gut and dysbiosis. I'll add you to the group on FB in case you want to learn more. The professor from isreal who is leading this research is active in that group. Warning: it's quite expensive. And I'm giving it to both boys... I also think their remedies have helped quite a bit, as I have seen them tolerate more foods.
