Video of DS's tics

Does your child have blinking/head nod/grimacing tics?

I just made a short video of my son and would like to have

someone dealing with similar tics have a look at it.

I don't have it posted anywhere.

I'd like to just email it to see if the tics look

similar to what you've seen.

My ds sometimes gets the eye blinking tic (which is just frequent, very strong blinking) along with a cough tic when his PANDAS flares up, and I think a lot on here have the blinking one. Your child's sounds like a more complex tic if the blinking/head nod and grimacing happens all at once.

Kiera, my ds's sound exactly like yours... the frequent more pronounced blinking and a throat clearing.

ajcire, that's funny! It's also strange that it's the same tics each time with a PANDAS flare-up, even though he's had various transient tics over the years, but it's good in a way because I know it's PANDAS now. Also the cough/throat clearing one can easily be interpreted as just an annoying cough so not as embarrassing!

We've got an intermittent throat clearing, too. I've asked for a long time if he had a sore throat,

but he never did. It was only on his last sore throat 2 months ago that he told me "my mouth hurts."

I went looking for a loose tooth, to discover he was talking about a sore throat.

This is the first sore throat he's told us about in 11 years. Who knows what he has been

through in the past.

I'm not sure if I have the throat clearing on video, but I have made clips of the

other tics.

Yes we have head nodding and grimacing along with blinking. The head nodding started in October and comes and goes. It looks as though ds is swallowing when head nods.

My DS developed tics one year after his first major PANDAS episode. He had eye blinking tics and throat clearing. Right now, he has a shoulder shrugging tic.
