eljomom Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 DD7's CD57 was from Igenex. And it was really HIGH! Is there something not-so-reliable about Igenex's CD 57? Also, what is Specialty Labs? Do you need dr.'s order like Igenex? My western blot testing was IGeneX. I didn't do it at any other labs, as I had heard of the flaws in the other labs well before I managed to get a prescription for testing. I also did CD57 with LabCorp which was something like 27 or 30, again, consistent with lyme.

I have heard that CD57 shoudl really be run through Labcorp (although I have not heard anything about how reliable Igenex test is, it may be fine). But also that it is not reliable in children. philamom Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Specialty Labs is owned by Quest. Our llmd runs the Bartonella IGG/IGM and Ehrlichiosis (HME & HGE) IGG/IGM with this lab. It is covered by insurance. He prefers this lab to Igenex for these 2 tests.
