Getting an infection on Lyme treatment...

I don't want to type it all out again, but I just posted about this on the P.A.N.D.A.S. board. My mystery throat infection has returned. What could POSSIBLY survive two 5 day courses of 250mg Azith, 10 days of 800mg Suprax, & ALL of my Lyme stuff?! (Doxy, Omnicef, Mepron, 500mg Azith, & more...)

Don't want to hijack your thread here, but will suggest MARCONS as a possibility, as I was recently at a conference where it was discussed. Discussion centered much more on treatment than diagnosis/symptoms, so, again, just tossing out the idea for you to consider. I would think it's a virus, or maybe even yeast.

Do you still have your tonsils and adenoids? The reason I ask is that while I was at the LLMD, recommended we see an ENT for son's chronic sinus and throat problems. He said that ENTs are finding a lot of staph, strep and MRSA in the tonsils and nasal/sinus cavities of Lyme infected patients. Staph and MRSA could possibly be resistant to some of these meds. Not to be an alarmist, but it is just a thought....

My ds just had tonsils & adnoids out and while asleep(can do while awake too) ENT did deep nasal swab and test came back positive for MARCONS (abx resistant staph). Treatment for this has been a nasal spray (BEG Spray) 4x day hopefully for just 6 weeks treatment. Had to order from a special pharmacy in MA. Hope you can figure all of this out soon!
